Zagreb City Break starts when our driver will pick you up at Zagreb airport and take you to your accommodation. After you get settled our guide will take you on a tour to get to know the city. A walking tour in the city center will show you all the sights of this vibrant Croatian capital. From the main square of ban Jelačić, Dolac Market or the belly of Zagreb, Stone gate to enter the Old city, St Marks square and church, Lotrščak tower, Zagreb funicular and Zrinjevac park. In a few hours you will know all about the the city history, what is a must see and taste.

After breakfast we will take you on a tour outside of the city. The great thing about the position of Zagreb is that in just two hours you can visit the untouched nature or even neighboring countries. Today it’s all about nature. You will visit Plitvice Lakes, the biggest, the oldest and the most visited Croatian national park which is also under the UNESCO protection. 16 lakes connected with gorgeous waterfalls, colors going from green to turquoise, leaves changing through the seasons.
Before the Lakes you will also visit Rastoke millers village. This little village was built on the tumbling waterfalls and are a great intro to the National park.

Zagreb is a vibrant little capital

A result of a game that nature played for hundreds of years on the river Slunjčica. The green and blue waters of the river converted into many fizzling waterfalls like Hrvoje, Buk and Vilina kosa (Fairy’s hair). Rastoke is actually a great nature’s introduction to the Plitvice Lakes National park. They are special because they were used by a human hand and converted into a settlement with small mills. Nature and people again created a harmony. That is the main reason why Rastoke are also protected by the regional institute for protection of cultural monuments.

The outstanding park, the most visited one in Croatia, is the only natural value listed on the UNESCO world heritage list. It was declared in 1979, one of the first in the world. The Park is a part of the Dinara karst area which is characterized by carbonate bedrock, numerous karst forms and the rare occurrence of surface flows. The vast amount of water and lake creation in such areas is unique and a precious appearance.
